After racing was cancelled on the first day of the event, the race committee managed to get a total of five races in over the last two days. Australian Sailing Team’s current World #1 Jason Waterhouse (NSW) and Lisa Darmanin (NSW) kicked-off the regatta strongly after winning the first race of the event and moving into 3rd, only one point behind first, on the first day of the event. Day two saw a few more challenges for the pair who posted a 22nd, fifth and seventh and are now ranked fifth after five races going into final series racing.

Billy Besson and Marie Riou, number 3 at the world ranking, are leading the fleet on the start of the 4th day of the Nacra17 Worlds. They are seven points ahead of the British Team John Gimson and Hannah Diamond. But with the weather the committee is expecting anything can happen. They expect wind speeds with an average of 20 knots from southwest. We’re expecting some small rain clouds during the afternoon which can result in gusts at over 25-30 knots.
