2017 Shanghai Cup and Asian Championship

An international fleet of 12 of the Worlds’ best teams will race on through the center of Shanghai in a display of the best of modern sailing. Racing starts on October 28th, 2017. Here are the teams competing.

• Italy – Ruggero Tita and Caterina Banti – European Champions in 2017
• New Zealand – Gemma Jones and Jason Saunders – 4th at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games
• Austria – Thomas Zajac and Barbara Matz – Bronze medal at the Rio Olympic games (for Thomas)
• Germany – Paul Kohlhoff and Alica Stuhlemmer – 5th at the 2017 World Champoinship
• Denmark 1 – Lin Cenhold and CP Lubeck – 8th at the 2017 World Championship
• Denmark 2 – Annette Vibourg and Mattias Brun – 12th at the Rio Olympics for Annette
•  Brazil – Joao Bulhoes and Gabriela Nicolino – 15th at the 2017 World Championship
• Singapore – Justin Liu & Denise Lim – 17th at the 2017 European Chapionship
• United States – Riley Gibbs & Louisa Chafee – 20th at the 2017 World Championship
• Hong Kong – New Team to the international circuit
• China 1 – New Team to the class
• China 2 – New Team to the class
